Neil Young Cloaca (b. 1976) is a musician, filmmaker, and programmer who celebrates noise and physical comedy. His diaristic films are often aggressively-edited, playfully disorienting observations and distorted impressions of memory. Since 2002 he has been a member of Fat Worm of Error, a quintet that uses compositional constraints and organized nonmusical sound to approximate rock music. They have toured the USA and EU as well as released several albums on labels such as Load and Ecstatic Peace. His film work has been screened at the Athens International Film Fest, Robert Beck Memorial Cinema, AS220, and at We’ve Got Guests (2012) in Rotterdam, NL. His programming projects have included performance & screening series such as the Bright Rectangle, The Montague Phantom Brain Exchange, as well as The Peskeomskut Noisecapades, an outdoor winter landscape sound/performance festival held on ice. He lives in Western Massachusetts.
